Storykindly — Terms for the storyteller · Last updated: 2026-10-27 · Version 1.0
1. Why you are here. [BUYER FIRST NAME] gave you Storykindly: a short course of questions about your life. Your answers become the chapters of a memory book in PDF. [BUYER FIRST NAME] has already paid. Taking part is completely your choice. If you say "No thanks", nothing more happens, [BUYER FIRST NAME] gets their money back, and we only tell them that the invitation was not accepted.
2. Who we are. Storykindly is run by Intelligence EOOD (Интелиджънс ЕООД), Bulgaria, trading as Decido Labs · support@storykindly.com.
3. You must be an adult and decide for yourself whether to take part. Nobody can agree to this for you.
4. How it works. You will get 10 or 20 questions by email, about one every 2–3 days. You answer in writing on a private page — no account, no app. For each question you can skip it, pause the course, or swap it for another question (up to 3 times). You can change how often questions come (from one to three a week). If you don't answer, we remind you at most twice, then we stay quiet.
5. How your answers are edited. Each answer is lightly edited with AI — grammar, repetition, order, paragraphs. The edit should keep your voice and must not add anything you did not say; automated checks compare it with your answer. No person at Storykindly reads your answers. You then choose: approve the chapter, correct it yourself, use your original words, ask for a new edit (up to two more times), or leave the answer out. If an edit does not pass our checks, we keep your own words.
6. What [BUYER FIRST NAME] sees. Only your progress (for example "7 of 20 answered") — not your answers. You can choose to share chapters as you go. An answer you leave out is never shown to anyone and never goes into the book. The book goes to you and to [BUYER FIRST NAME] only after you approve it, and only with the chapters you approved.
7. Your words are yours. You are the author of your answers and of the book. You allow us to use them only to provide this service — to edit, check, show you, make the book and send it to you and to [BUYER FIRST NAME]. When you approve the book, you agree that [BUYER FIRST NAME] receives it for personal and family use. We never use your answers as examples, for testing, for marketing, or to train AI.
8. Writing about other people. Please write about others by first name. We shorten surnames of living people to an initial and remove phone numbers, emails and house numbers; a sentence about another living person's health or private life stays out of the book unless you tell us that person has died or agrees. About children, please use a first name or nickname only, or "my grandson", "my niece".
9. Hard memories. Some questions may bring back difficult memories. You can skip, pause or stop at any time. Storykindly is not counselling or a crisis service. If an answer suggests you may need support right now, we show you where to find help; this is shown only to you and is never shared with [BUYER FIRST NAME].
10. Finishing. The course ends when you have answered all questions, when you choose "Finish my book now" (once 3 chapters are approved), or at the deadline (8 weeks after the start). Then you check the spelling of the names and approve your book.
11. If you cannot finish. When you join, you can choose (it is off unless you turn it on) that if you die or can no longer continue, the chapters you already approved may go to [BUYER FIRST NAME] as a book. We act on this only when a close relative asks and sends us a document. If you leave it off, your answers are deleted and no book is made.
12. Deleting. You can press "Delete everything now" at any time. We then delete your answers and chapters, and your links stop working. Otherwise we delete them 30 days after the book is delivered (we remind you 7 and 21 days after delivery to download it). If you say "No thanks" or don't accept, we delete your details 30 days after [BUYER FIRST NAME]'s refund.
13. Links. Every email has a new private link. Links stop working after a while; use "Email me a new link" to get a fresh one. Please don't share your links.
14. We won't sell to you. We will not send you offers or advertising.
15. Your data. How we use your information is in our Privacy Policy. Separately from these terms, we ask for your explicit consent to use what you write, because memories can include health, beliefs or other sensitive details. You can withdraw it at any time with "Delete everything now".
16. No guarantees, no cost to you. You pay nothing. The service is provided as it is; automated checks reduce mistakes but cannot rule them out — please read each chapter before you approve it. Nothing here limits your rights under data-protection law.
